Abstract Paint + Sip

Friday Nov. 15, 2024// 6:30pm - 9:30pm

Saturday Dec. 7, 2024 // 6pm - 9pm

$50

This is not your average Paint + Sip! In the first part of the workshop, we’ll briefly cover some foundational 2D painting principals (color theory, composition, mark making) that’ll help guide a successful artwork, here and onward. In the second part of the evening, we’ll select a color palette, and settle in to paint an original 16” x 20” artwork on canvas. No experience necessary! This will be a fun, low-pressure opportunity to learn and create, and leave with a finished work of art. All supplies included, and seasonal cocktail, wine and light snacks provided.

Gift Making Workshop: Table Linens

Sunday Dec. 8, 2024 // 1pm - 3pm

$50

In this workshop, we’ll use natural found objects to create an abstract block printing pattern on your choice of either a linen table runner or set of 6 cotton napkins (Please specify your choice when registering). These make really elegant, unique gifts and are a fun and easy way to dip your toes into block printing and pattern making!

2-Part Resist Dye + Patchwork Textile Art

Part 1: Sunday Jan. 19 // 1pm- 3pm

Part 2: Sunday Jan.26 // 1pm-4pm

$80 per workshop; or $130 for both

Join us for one or both parts of this 2-part process.

In Part 1, we’ll explore a variety of resist techniques (like shibori, batik, wrapping) on linen, then drop into a natural dye bath.

In Part 2, we’ll learn how to deconstruct our dyed linen and then reconstruct it into a hangable textile artwork with other colors from additional supplied linen remnants. Prepared linen pole-pockets will be available for anyone who would like to display their artwork via hangable dowel. We’ll learn basic machine stitching and hemming, and appliqué work. Resist-dyed linens will be provided for anyone joining us only for Part 2.
